CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT: Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging Volunteer Services

We are so excited to shine a spotlight on another amazing organization we get the privilege of working alongside! Our monthly Customer Spotlight series gives us the opportunity to highlight these real, admirable organizations and to show practical ways CERVIS is partnering with them to make a difference. It is our goal and passion to help them (and you!) effectively manage and engage volunteers to make the biggest impact.

Our Customer Spotlight today is on Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging Volunteer Services, which is a division within their Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. Located just outside Washington DC in Virginia's third-most populous county, their mission is to connect all communities in Loudoun County through exceptional people, parks, and programs. One of the ways they do this is through volunteerism! Volunteer Coordinator, Debra Bressler, and Volunteer Services Assistant, Andi Kiehle, joined us to share how their volunteer program has benefited by working with CERVIS.

Tell us about your volunteers:

Our Loudoun County Volunteers are caring & knowledgeable and serve Loudoun's seniors! They instruct classes, help at special events, assist with programs, serve meals, and greet center members with a smile! This last year we delivered 80,174 meals to 484 homebound older adults, served 78,411 meals to 1,371 adults at senior centers, taught over 72 classes, saved $651,000 in medical care costs, and supported 94 adult day center participants! Totaling $1.9 million in volunteer hours last year, our volunteers generously support our community.

Tell us about working with CERVIS:

We just rolled out over a five-week timeframe the CERVIS volunteer sign-in kiosk. This project has impacted our organization in multiple ways: zero paper waste, more accurate volunteer hour time keeping and impact tracking, and the ability to “cross pollinate” our volunteer opportunities with other divisions within the Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services. Another proud moment for us is that over 40% (284 of 710) of our volunteers responded to our annual satisfaction survey, which allowed us to assess the feedback and integrate improvements. The feedback on logging hours online and learning about one-time events allowed us to advocate for CERVIS and roll out the improvements!

CERVIS is an adaptable, easy-to-use program for both our organization and our volunteers. Our favorite feature is the fantastic client service! In addition, we appreciate having access to cloud-based software. We feel like we provide exemplary customer service when we are in the field serving our paid staff and the volunteers that serve alongside them in the community

Thank you so much for your time, Debra and Andi! We are thrilled to hear how CERVIS has elevated your volunteer program and made it easier for both you and your volunteers to make a difference in your community! We are honored to be a part of your successful roll out of the CERVIS volunteer sign-in kiosk and are excited to continue working together to make your volunteer program the best it can be!

Here at CERVIS, we work with countless organizations of varying sizes and are applauded for our attentive customer service, ease of reporting, user friendliness, and data protection.
